13 Self Care Rituals
The self care rituals that I'm sharing today has really helped me
so much over the last couple of months - that's why I'm sharing them with you.
Let me know if you have a few personal rituals that you live by, I would love
to hear and maybe implement them myself.
1. Meditate for at least 10 to 15 minutes everyday.
For me this means prayer,
and really I don't know how I could start my day without it. It just gives me
a hopeful and positive outlook on everything, whether I have to meet a new
client or have to deal with a sudden setback.
2. Indulge in an invigorating shower.
I adore fresh,
zesty shower-gels in the morning! To me the shower's the place where I mentally
prepare myself for the rest of the day.
3. Eat a healthy breakfast.
I love nourishing my body with fresh fruit + a bowl of good old
oatmeal. However when I'm in a hurry I grab a bowl of muesli and yogurt.
4. Meticulously do my
makeup.
I'm one of those girls
that you won’t ever see without makeup. I just really love how makeup transform
your face and how people treat you differently when you look good and on
point.
5. Declutter my
workspace.
I have a real love
affair with stationary + notebooks, but having them on your desk all at once create
the type of clutter that can make you look and feel like a complete and utter
hoarder.
6. Have a cup of
peppermint tea.
Peppermint tea is
awesome. It keeps you regular, relieves tension and takes away that dreadful
midday slump.
7. Drink water.
When I'm well hydrated I
just feel more energized and refresh.
8. Make time for
silence.
Let's face it, noise is
everywhere and it's not really a bad thing. However I've realized that I'm most
productive when I take a break during the day with absolutely no noise around
me. No Whatsapp notifications, no phone calls, no music, just silence.
9. Daydream.
I love setting new goals
and the only way to give them colour (seeing your vision come to life) is to
daydream about the glorious end result.
10. Setting out the next
day's outfit.
This makes me feel in
control and well prepared for the next day.
11. Long baths.
I love long hot baths as
it totally relaxes my body. Honestly nothing beats a fragranced bubble bath
that sooth tense muscles.
12. Pedicures.
I never realized how
pampered a foot massage can make you feel until I got spoiled with one by my 10
year old niece. Now I have a whole kit at home to spoil myself with.
13. Going to bed early.
I don’t have to fall
asleep right away, just the fact that I'm in rest mode is good for my
wellbeing...
